Transactions

The Transactions tab shows the transaction list for one account at a time.

On mobile, transactions show as a card list. On desktop, they show in a table with columns for payee, description, category, date, and amount, plus an optional running balance column.

The transaction form has:

  • Payee — with nearby-merchant suggestions as you type.
  • Description
  • Date
  • Category
  • Amount — typed like cents (so 1234 becomes €12.34).
  • In/Out toggle — whether money came in or went out.
  • Account picker — which account the transaction belongs to. Editing an existing transaction and changing this picker moves it to a different account.

Deleting a transaction asks for confirmation first.

On desktop, you can click directly into the payee or description cell in the table to edit it, and use the category cell’s dropdown to change the category — without opening the full form.

Status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed → Reconciled

Section titled “Status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed → Reconciled”

Every transaction has a status shown as a small pill:

  • Unconfirmed (?) — added but not yet checked.
  • Confirmed (✓) — you’ve verified it matches your bank.
  • Reconciled — locked in as part of a completed reconciliation.

Tap the status pill to move a transaction to its next status.

Use search to find transactions by payee, description, or category. Filters narrow the list further:

  • Category
  • Amount — greater than, less than, or between two values
  • Date — after, before, or between two dates

Active filters show as chips, and a clear all option resets them. Sort the list by date, payee, or amount, ascending or descending.

Reconciliation lines your recorded balance up with your real bank balance.

  1. Enter your current bank balance.
  2. Munto shows the difference between that and your cleared balance (the total of your Confirmed and Reconciled transactions).
  3. If there’s a difference, you can optionally create an adjustment transaction to account for it.
  4. Confirm to mark all Confirmed transactions as Reconciled.
